Each mail piece is personalized with variable data - including the recipient's name, custom barcode and custom winning numbers. Variable data has a drastic impact on the piece, engaging the recipient on a personal level instead of sending them "just another generic mailer". Adding the recipient's name and personalized data adds credibility to the piece, saving it from the garbage can where the non-personal, generic "junk mail" is tossed. Depending on the direct-mail piece, variable data can be included on one side, edge-to-edge (simplex) or both sides (duplex) with lasering technology, or in a specific area with inkjet printing.
